Dr. Brian Van Rooyen, DDS (Dr. V)

Dr. Brian Van Rooyen, aka Dr. V, was born and raised in Lake Orion, Michigan. He received a bachelors in biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Detroit Mercy Dental School.

Dr. V is passionate about treating people with the same care that he would want out of his own health care providers. He recognizes the critical role that one’s mental health plays in their treatment. Often, the biggest hurdles to coming in are the fear of judgement and the fear of the unknown.

“The hardest part of any appointment for many is getting the strength to come in. Once you’re here, we will work together to figure out what to do next. I’m not here to tell you what to do; I’m only here to give advice. After all, no one wants to be at the dentist any more than they have to, myself included.”

Dedicated to giving back in dentistry, Dr. V went on his first dental mission trip in August 2018. Since then, he has been blessed to participate in various mission trips to Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and even Egypt. Additionally, he regularly volunteers at Trinity Community Care, a free dental clinic in Shelby Township.

In his free time, Dr. V is an avid ‘hobby collector’. He particularly enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and playing card and board games with his loved ones.
